ELECTION SHOULD NOT BE A DO OR DIE AFFAIRS— Akinlosotu
The Commissioner for Tourism and Culture in Ondo State, Mr Wale Akinlosotu has said that election should not be a do or die affairs.He disclosed this at Ondo East, in ward one,  polling unit six, when he granted  interview with the Press men that were on the field monitoring the ongoing 2023 general election .

The Hon. Commissioner who adjudged the elections process as free,fare and credible, described it as a wonderful process due to the ways and manner at which people conducted themselves in a peaceful way . In his words ” Is been wonderful and I thank Almighty God for giving us this wonderful opportunity “. He said People conducted themselves honourably and that the elections was free ,fair and credible . He also said that they did not record any violence and any act of disturbance”.
Akinlosotu praised the Independent National Electoral Commission-INEC for the introduction of the BVAS for the conduct of the election in Nigeria. According to him, the Device was a little bit slow from the beginning due to the network but at the end, the device worked perfectly. He said election should not be a do or die affairs.He said that we want to serve our people and when the electorates says they want to give you a mandate to serve, so be it. But if they say no, it’s not your time , then you need to wait for another time when it would be your turn to serve.
Similarly, the Honourable Commissioner thanked God for the peace we have been enjoying in the state. He also appreciated the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo AKEREDOLU SAN CON for introducing the Amotekun Corp for the protection of life and Property in the state and it’s environ .He commended the leadership style of the Governor for preaching peace in Ondo State. He also appreciated the resilience performance of the security personnel that were on patrol during the election particularly the Military men who ensured that the whole environment was peaceful and suitable for the electorates to cast their votes for their preferred candidates. He thanked God for the victory recorded by the APC in all the elections conducted in the Polling units within his domains.
