Administrator Samantha Power Meets with Canadian Minister of International Development Ahmed Hussen

Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Ahmed Hussen, Canada’s Minister for International Development and Global Affairs. They discussed the response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, including the Administrator’s recent travel to the humanitarian hub in El-Arish, Egypt and Minister Hussen’s recent travel to the Gulf. They reiterated our countries’ shared commitment to address the humanitarian needs, including providing food, water, and medicine, for civilians in Gaza.
The two also agreed to continue exploring opportunities for collaboration on projects in the Indo-Pacific and more broadly in pursuit of mutual development priorities
