Today, more we have is house breaking and stealing, we remain resolute in our determination to flush them out of our society.”

In another development, Chief Akogun said the efforts of his galant men together with other Security Agencies yielded success due to their increase in the intelligence gathering of the command which enable them to thwaft the activities of all these criminals and also arrested most of them at different locations within the state. He said”Across the board, we were able to filed, the connection of some people that are suspected to be kidnappers and robbers that we were able to found due to our intelligence report and we picked about 17 of them in a particular area in the state where we monitored.”

But I must say that with the cooperation of other state security agencies we have been able to reduce the criminals activities in the state” .

Similarly, Chief Adeleye said “The cross section of these 36 suspects shows that their activities have dropped drastically in the state. We will still continue to ensure that people do their businesses normally and that they are not disturbed now that the state government resolute in guarantee lives and property we are also determined to ensure that.” He appealed to the traditional rulers to help them report any suspected strange movement in their domain or let the security Agencies get to know about that.” We want to appeal to our traditional rulers, the Olus, that once they see the connection of unknown people in the forest they should alert us immediately. I want to encourage the general public that once they see strange movement they should let the security agencies know”.

The Amotekun Commander said some of these criminals were picked up from the Northern part of the Ondo State where the Amotekun Corps covered in different junctions within the state.”The cross section of the 19 suspected kidnappers were picked from the Northern senatorial district of the state, and you will notice that you always find members of the Amotekun Corps in every each junction and every major streets and this is to prevent such actions of kidnappers entering houses to pick people and that’s why we are calling on the general public to beware of strangers”.

He also talked about the activities of the scavenger who kidnapped 8year old girl in the state that their activities is a problem to the state and now calling on the relevance government authorities in the state to ban the activities of these scavengers all over the state as their presence and activities are constituting a security threat to the good people of Ondo State. His words “On the activities of scavengers in the state, Adeleye said; “they are already a problem because a couples a day ago, we paraded one man that actually kidnapped 8year old girl, put in a sack bag and this is what has been happening all over the state. “So we are working with the relevant government agencies to come up with a policy to ban the further activities of these scavengers within the state.”
