Ondo Newspaper Publishers (AINP) Gets Caretaker/Electoral Committee

Following the expiration of the Prince Adefemi Ojopagogo led state executive on February 29th, 2024, the members today constituted the new Caretaker Committee to oversee the affairs of the association pending the time new Excos will come on board.

The out gone chairman, Prince Adefemi Ojopagogo has therefore been mandated to handover all property(ies) of the association in his possession to the Caretaker Committee with immediate effect.

In view of this, the leadership of the association hereby warns the general public to be wary of some disgruntled elements parading themselves as the new Excos of the association.

The illegal and Kangaroo selection spearheaded by the outgone president, Prince Adefemi Ojopagogo and self acclaimed National President, Love Olawumi where one Femi James was handpicked as the president should be disregarded, it is null and void.

Any members of the public that disregard this warning, dealing with Femi James is doing so at his/her risk as the association wouldn’t be responsible.

The Caretaker Committee in no distance time will communicate timetable of election to interested members aspiring to any elective position of the association.

We enjoined our members to be law abiding as Gentle Men of the Press and be assured that no single individual will Lord himself over the majority members of the association.

In his acceptance speech, the Caretaker Chairman, Mr Charles Akinwon thanked the association for counting him worthy to serve, promising to conduct free, fair and credible election.

He urged every member to support the Caretaker Committee to actualize the task placed before them.

The Caretaker Chairman further said that the association won’t hesitate to take legal action against anyone illegally parading himself as the president of the association.
