Media election: New leadership Emerged In AINPN

The Association of Independent Newspapers Publishers of Nigeria –AINPN has gotten a new leadership that would take the association to the next level. The election which was held today at the NUJ press Centre under the electoral Chairman Charles Akinwon who pronounced Oyesusi Olaseeni, the publisher of Chronicle magazine as the newly elected president of the association with eleven votes while Ayodele Ologunola, publisher of focus magazine emerged the Treasurer with eleven votes and Alimi Collins of Path magazine news scored ten votes to emerged as the secretary of the organisation .


In his acceptance speech, Olaseeni first thanked God for the conclusion and success of the election. He said he would work along with the members to promote the association to a greater heights. He however urged the members to be active as the association would not condoled any laxity among members.
Similarly, one of the founding fathers of the Association Barrister Success Tahukerijo admonished the new executive to be more proactive in their duties. He encouraged them that they should not let the expectation of the people to be defeated as they pilot the affairs of the association.

Barrister Success was of the opinion that the newly elected executive could work with the Chief Press Secretary of the State being one of the publisher in the society. That they should leverage on this opportunity for the purpose of growing the association to a level of attraction from the public.

Speaking further, Success said he read in the media publications about the presentations of some media gadgets or other materials the CPS  presented to some organizations and he wants the newly elected executive to move closer to him ( the CPS) to also find a way of assisting the Independent Publishers for the purpose of promoting the relevant of the association to the world.
Highlights of the event include group photograh and other things that are relevant to the program.
