Ondo 2024: Ayedatiwa/Adelami Campaign Tour Draws Enthusiastic Crowds in Ondo West

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, accompanied by his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, received an electrifying welcome as they arrived in Ondo West Local Government on their campaign tour. Thousands of enthusiastic supporters gathered to celebrate the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidates with chants, dances, and acrobatics, creating a vibrant atmosphere across the community.

The visit featured three major events: a rally, an honorary visit to the Osemawe and Paramount Ruler of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Dr. Victor Ademefun Adesimbo Kiladejo Jilo III, and the commissioning of an ultra-modern public motor park—a significant constituency project initiated by Hon. Abiola Otaibayomi Makinde, Director-General of the Ondo State Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa Campaign Organisation.

During the palace visit, Oba Kiladejo praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s exemplary leadership and reaffirmed the Ondo Kingdom’s confidence in his vision for sustainable development across the state. The Osemawe pledged his and his people’s support, encouraging the Governor to sustain his progressive initiatives and drive development forward.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception, Governor Aiyedatiwa promised to honour the trust of the Ondo Kingdom, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to transforming Ondo West. He urged residents to mobilize for the upcoming election on November 16, noting that their votes would fuel his vision. The Governor outlined plans to prioritize Ondo West in future infrastructural projects, demonstrating his dedication to meeting local needs.

The campaign tour attracted an array of prominent figures, including the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji Landmark; APC Ondo State Party Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin; Ondo Central Senator, Hon. Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN; former House of Representatives member Hon. Iranola Akinlaja; and Honourable Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hon. Dcns. Lola Fagbemi. Also in attendance were Hon. Wale Akinlosotun, Hon. Jibayo Adeyeye, Senator Ajayi Borofice, Hon. Ade Adeniyi (AdeisOkay), Dr. Tola Awosika, Hon. Ayotunde Bally, Hon. Ayotunde Akinfolarin (Ondo West Local Government Transition Chairman), Hon. Onidare Sunday Bukunmi (OSB), Ondo Northwest LCDA Transition Chairman), and Hon. Felix Akinola (Ondo South East Transition Chairman).

Additional dignitaries accompanied the Governor’s entourage, including Chief Olusola Oke, SSA on Women Affairs Hon. Mrs. Bosede Osamaye, and Hon. Tomide Akinribido, representing the Governor’s political appointees; Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju and Hon. Abiola Oladapo, representing members of the Ondo State House of Assembly; Hon. Agboola Kelly, representing party elders; and Dr. Eniola Ajayi, representing all campaign committee members. Many other esteemed leaders also showed their support.

Numerous support groups turned out in large numbers to back the Ayedatiwa/Adelami ticket, including The Aserere Group, Adedotun Adeya Political Movement (AAM), WorldHero Group, Dr. Michael Ajilo Political Movement, OSB Vanguard, OMO Group, HBO Group, Fagbemi Political Movement, TLG Group, and several other key organizations.

At the commissioning of the new motor park at Ife Garage, Governor Aiyedatiwa lauded Hon. Makinde’s dedication to his constituency, acknowledging Makinde’s impactful projects that serve both his Federal Constituency and the wider Ondo State community.
