CP WILFRED VISITS IDANRE COMMUNITY
Preaches Community Safety Partnership
The Commissioner of Police, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, psc+, mnips, recently visited Idanre town to engage with local residents on improving security in the area and across Ondo State.
During the visit, CP Afolabi introduced the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) initiative, which aims to strengthen collaboration between the police and local communities. The initiative includes quarterly reviews of police operations and public activities to enhance service delivery and foster safer environments.
CP Afolabi underscored his dedication to safeguarding the rights of all citizens, highlighting that the initiative’s goal is to establish mutual trust and respect between the police and the communities they serve.
In response, the community members expressed their support for the CSP, while raising concerns about ongoing land disputes with neighboring towns and other security challenges. They appealed to the CP for intervention before these issues escalate further.

In addressing the concerns, CP Afolabi urged the community to prioritize peace, stressing that no community can progress in an atmosphere of discord. He assured the residents that the police would remain neutral in resolving conflicts, emphasizing the force’s responsibility to protect lives and property.
