
ONDO AT 49: GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA HIGHLIGHTS STEADY PROGRESS, ANNOUNCES COMMITTEE FOR 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
- Governor honors founding fathers and outlines vision for the state’s continued development
Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has assured the people of the state that steady progress is being made towards achieving comprehensive development and prosperity. In his message marking the 49th anniversary of the state’s creation, the Governor emphasized the strides made since its founding on February 3, 1976, by the military administration of General Murtala Muhammed.
Governor Aiyedatiwa paid tribute to the visionary leaders who laid the foundation for the state, recognizing their courage, foresight, and critical contributions that have shaped Ondo into a model of sustainable development. He pledged to build upon their legacies and work toward harnessing the state’s full potential for the benefit of all its people.
As the state prepares for its 50th anniversary next year, the Governor announced plans to establish a committee to coordinate activities and prepare for a Golden Jubilee celebration. He called on the people to continue their support as his administration works to steer Ondo State toward even greater achievements.
