Abuja, Nigeria | Tuesday, February 11, 2025 – The House of Representatives has released the Order Paper for its plenary session today, outlining key legislative activities set to take place. The session will include the introduction of 12 bills, with significant proposals aimed at amending the Electoral Act, Nigeria Police Act, and Company Income Tax Act. Additionally, 4 bills will undergo second reading, focusing on issues like electoral offences and organ transplant regulations. Members will also deliberate on 3 bills for third reading, including the establishment of a regulatory body for pharmaceutical technologists.

Further, the House will review 6 committee reports, which include proposals for new vocational and medical institutions, and discuss 3 major motions addressing pressing national issues such as mining regulation, erosion in Anambra State, and security upgrades in correctional facilities. The session is part of the House’s ongoing commitment to effective lawmaking and advancing national development.
