By Exponent News Akure, 24th February,2025.

In a move to strengthen governance in Ondo State, Governor Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has appointed Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) following his swearing-in as the 7th democratically elected Governor on Monday. Dr Taiwo is one of the son of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, who is the Leader of Afenifere in the Nigeria.

The announcement was made available to the Pressmen through  Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State

Dr. Fasoranti, who was previously the Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board, hails from Akure South local government.

Recalled that the office of the SSG was occupied by the Late Temitayo Tukana in the last administration but didn’t enjoyed the office to the fullest following his death in a ghastly motor accident which claimed his life.

In addition to the SSG appointment, Governor Aiyedatiwa has approved the reappointment of key officials, including Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac as Commissioner for Finance. Several Special Advisers have also been reappointed, including Engr. Johnson Alabi (Power), Dr. Seun Osamaye (Women Affairs), Comrade Bola Taiwo (Union Matters & Special Duties), and Prof. Simidele Odimayo (Health).

Additionally, Engr. Abiola Olawoye has been promoted to Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing after serving as Senior Special Assistant. All appointments take immediate effect as Governor Aiyedatiwa urges the appointees to work diligently in providing effective services for the people of Ondo State.
