
Ondo Governor’s CPS Donates ₦1 Million to NUJ for Improved Power Supply at Press Centre

Akure, Ondo State | Thursday, February 28, 2025 – Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor of Ondo State, has donated ₦1 million to the Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) to improve electricity supply at the union’s Press Centre in Akure.
Adeniyan presented the donation to the union’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Hakeem Gbadamosi, during the February edition of the NUJ’s monthly Congress held in Akure on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, Adeniyan explained that the donation is part of his ongoing monthly support for media organizations in the state, a program he launched in February 2024.
He expressed appreciation to the union, media organizations, and journalists for their continued support of the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
NUJ Lauds Adeniyan’s Commitment to Journalism
In response, Mr. Hakeem Gbadamosi thanked the CPS for his generosity and dedication to the welfare of journalists and the NUJ.
Gbadamosi stated, “The CPS, a former state and national officer of the NUJ, has been a great ambassador of the union and the journalism profession.”
He also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for reappointing Adeniyan as CPS, noting that it was a well-deserved recognition of his hard work and commitment to promoting the image of the Governor and his administration.
A special prayer session was held for Adeniyan, wishing him continued success in his tenure.
