A Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, has granted Jude Chihozie Okoye, the Elder brother and former manager of Nigerian music duo P-Square, a N50 million bail on fresh charges of theft. Justice Rahman Oshodi, presiding over the case, ruled on Thursday, March 6, 2025, that Okoye must provide two sureties in the same amount, one of whom must own a landed property.

The charges stem from an arraignment on March 4, 2025, where Okoye, alongside his company Northside Music Ltd, faced four counts of stealing a total of $1,019,762.87 and £34,537.59. The alleged offences took place between 2016 and 2023, violating Sections 278 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. Okoye pleaded “not guilty” to the charges.

The case has been adjourned until May 16 th, 2025, for trial, following the bail hearing.
