
CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi Partners with Local Security to Combat Crime in Ondo State

The Commissioner of Police, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, psc+, mnips, today convened a crucial meeting with local hunters and other neighborhood security groups in Akure and its surrounding areas. The event, which took place at the Police Officers’ Mess in Akure, aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the Police and local security outfits, is part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and enhance security across Ondo State.
In attendance were representatives from the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), local hunters, vigilante groups, and other security agencies. The stakeholders collectively affirmed their commitment to supporting the police in ridding the State of all forms of criminal activities and enhancing the safety of residents.
This partnership marks a significant step in the fight against crime in Ondo State, as the Police seek to leverage the expertise and local knowledge of community-based security organizations.
