ONDO NOA URGES RESIDENTS TO PRIORITIZE WATER CONSERVATION AND HYGIENE ON WORLD WATER DAY

As the world marked World Water Day over the weekend, the Ondo State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. James Adekunle, has emphasized the crucial importance of water conservation and proper hygiene practices among residents of the state.

In a Press Release over the weekend to commemorate the global event, Mr. Adekunle stressed that access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and it is essential for the well-being and prosperity of individuals, communities, and societies.

The NOA Director admonished residents to prioritize the proper sourcing, preservation, and usage of water, highlighting the need for improved hygiene practices to prevent water-borne diseases.

“The theme of this year’s World Water Day, ‘Glacier Preservation,’ is a call to action for all of us to make a conscious effort to conserve water and maintain good hygiene practices,” Mr. Adekunle said.

“It’s essential we acknowledge water’s significance in our daily lives and take collective action to safeguard this invaluable resource, ensuring access to clean water and fostering healthier communities”
The event, held annually, focuses on promoting awareness about the crucial importance of water conservation and hygiene practices among residents in our daily lives.
