
AIG Ajani Felicitates Christians on Easter, Assures Ondo, Ekiti Residents of Adequate Security

As Christians mark this year’s Easter celebration, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 17, Akure, AIG Ajani Musibau Omolabi (psc+), has extended warm greetings to Christian faithfuls across Ondo and Ekiti States, while assuring residents of robust security measures throughout the festive period.
In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Desmond Sosanya, the AIG emphasized the commitment of the Zone 17 Command to ensuring a safe, peaceful, and hitch-free Easter celebration. He revealed that a massive deployment of police personnel has been ordered across key strategic locations including worship centers, recreational spots, highways, and other public areas.
The deployment, he noted, will enhance Visibility Policing through foot and vehicular patrols, alongside intensified surveillance activities designed to prevent and detect crime, thereby reinforcing public safety.
The AIG urged residents to remain law-abiding, security conscious, and to steer clear of unauthorized processions or gatherings that could disrupt public peace.
Reiterating the Police Command’s unwavering dedication to the protection of lives and property during and after the Easter season, AIG Ajani wished all residents a joyful and incident-free celebration.
