NIEEE Akure Chapter Set to Inaugurate New Leadership and Launch Community Empowerment Initiatives

The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE), Akure Chapter, is set to inaugurate a new executive leadership team that will guide the chapter’s affairs over the next two years. This leadership transition marks a pivotal step in the institute’s journey to foster engineering excellence, promote innovation and strengthen community engagement across Ondo State.

At a press conference held on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Secretariat in Alagbaka, Akure, Engr. The week-long event kicks off on Tuesday, July 1st, with an “Evening of Praise” at 4:00 PM, followed by an empowerment session at 5:00 PM for 50 less privileged individuals at RCCG – Seed of David, Toyin’s Building, Oba Adesida Road, Akure. This initiative underlines the institute’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and grassroots development.

On Wednesday, July 2nd, the National President of NIEEE will arrive by 11:00 AM. The event, which begins at 11:00 AM at Winners Guest House, will feature awards to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to electrical engineering and to the growth of the institute. An inaugural lecture titled “Policy and Regulatory Framework for Efficient Energy Management” will be delivered by the Special Adviser on Power and Commissioner-Designate.

A distinguished lineup of guests is expected at the event. The Special Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker is His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Executive Governor of Ondo State.
