Breaking:Former President Muhammadu Buhari Dies at 82 in London

Former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has passed away at the age of 82.
According to a statement released on Sunday by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, the former president died in a clinic in London, United Kingdom.
“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin,” Shehu posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Buhari, a retired Major General and two-term civilian president, served as Nigeria’s Head of State between 1983 and 1985, and later as democratically elected president from 2015 to 2023.
Details of funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family.
