Aiyedatiwa Reaffirms Commitment to Security as NSCDC Commandant Commends Ondo’s Support

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has restated his administration’s commitment to strengthening the security architecture of the state, following commendations from the National Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof. Abubakar Ahmed, for the state’s continued support to security agencies.

Prof. Ahmed, who led senior officers of the Corps on a courtesy visit to the Governor at the Presidential Lodge, Government House, Akure, on Sunday, lauded Aiyedatiwa for sustaining the tradition of cooperation and operational assistance initiated by his predecessor.

NSCDC Boss Applauds Ondo Governor for Sustained Backing of Security Operations

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof. Abubakar Ahmed, has hailed Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for providing exceptional support to security agencies, describing him as one of the few governors offering operational backing to the Corps across the federation.

Prof. Ahmed gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Governor in Akure on Sunday, October 26, 2025, where he praised the synergy among security formations in the state.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has assured residents of Ondo State that his administration remains fully committed to ensuring peace and safety, even as the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof. Abubakar Ahmed, commended the state government’s consistent support for security operations.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Governor in Akure, Prof. Ahmed praised the synergy among security agencies in the state and reaffirmed the Corps’ readiness to sustain collaboration in safeguarding lives and property.
