OSOPADEC Leadership, Ilaje Prominent Council Strengthen Collaboration

27th November, 2025

The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) on Tuesday hosted a high-powered delegation of the Conference of Baales and Olojas from its mandate areas, signaling renewed cooperation between the Commission and the leadership structures of the prominent council of the Baales and the Olojas in the region.

Receiving the delegation, OSOPADEC Chairman, Prince Olabiyi Olaleye Poroye, applauded the royal fathers for what he described as their “useful counsel of wisdom,” noting that their guidance has been instrumental to the agency’s progress. He emphasized the value he places on the council, acknowledging their pivotal role in maintaining community stability and driving grassroots development.

Prince Poroye added that the Commission would continue to rely on their advice in shaping policies, stressing the importance of maintaining public trust. Citing scripture, he recalled the biblical charge to “let your moderation be known unto all men,” and prayed for divine grace to fulfil his developmental agenda for the oil-producing region.

Earlier, Chief Adebowale Bamigbose JP, General Chairman of the Council, congratulated Prince Poroye on his appointment and encouraged him to make a lasting impact in office, saying that “a good name is better than silver and gold.” He further appealed for enhanced welfare for Baales and Olojas across the mandate areas.

In attendance were the Executive Director (Finance), Malam Mallon Ogbaro; Director of Administration and Supplies, Ap. Sola Orisamoluwa; Director of Community Welfare, Comr. Kayode Ebiseni; aides to the Chairman; and other senior management officials.
