Odudu to be Honoured as AINPN Unveils Lineup for 2025 Annual Week

4th December,2025

The Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (AINPN), Ondo State Chapter, has announced that Comrade Ambassador Ademola Odudu, Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ondo State, will be among the distinguished personalities to receive awards at its 2025 Annual Week celebration.

The honour, described as a Road Transport Leadership Icon Award, will be presented on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the NMA Event Centre, Alagbaka, Akure.

According to the association, the choice of Odudu was based on his “commendable track record and transformative leadership” since assuming office as the state NURTW boss. His administration has reportedly restored discipline and professionalism among drivers across the state, a model said to be influencing practices in other states.

Born over six decades ago in Ode-Irele, Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State, Comrade Odudu had his primary education at Igbinoba Primary School, Igbogwi, and later attended Igbogwi Grammar School, where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate. Though financial challenges prevented further formal education, he has continued to attribute his success to the foundation laid by his schooling and the support of his parents.

The AINPN noted that Odudu’s commitment to transparency, union development, and the progress of Ikale land has earned him recognition as an icon of transportation leadership.

The 2025 AINPN Week is expected to celebrate several notable figures for their contributions to society, with organisers promising a colourful and memorable event.
