
Poroye Urges Unity, Vigilance as Ondo Welcomes 2026

Prince Olabiyi Olaleye Poroye, Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), has called on residents of Ondo State to embrace unity, peace, and collective responsibility as the year 2026 begins.
In a New Year message to the people of the Sunshine State at home and in the diaspora, Poroye extended goodwill to party leaders, stakeholders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and Nigerians across the country. He emphasized the need for citizens to work together in building a prosperous and secure future for the state and the nation.
The OSOPADEC chairman stressed that security remains a shared responsibility, urging communities to stay vigilant and cooperate with government and security agencies by providing timely information and promoting peaceful coexistence.
“As we move into this critical period, meaningful progress can only be achieved through collective effort and unity,” he noted.
Poroye expressed optimism that 2026 would usher in renewed hope, strengthened unity, and shared prosperity for Ondo State, while wishing residents peace, good health, and fulfillment throughout the year.
He reaffirmed OSOPADEC’s commitment to total prosperity and environmental sustainability in the oil-producing areas of the state.
