Hon. Adefiranye Ayodele Festus Receives Prestigious Award, Thanks Constituents and Supporters

By Exponent News 22nd December, 2024

Hon. Adefiranye Ayodele Festus, the representative of IlleOluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency, has expressed his gratitude to the Almighty and his supporters after being honored with an award from the Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (AINPN).

In a heartfelt speech, Hon. Adefiranye acknowledged the significance of the recognition, stating that it is a testimony to the importance of consistent dedication and hard work. He expressed his surprise upon being nominated for the award and thanked the Chairman of the AINPN for considering him among the many distinguished members of the National Assembly.

“I want to appreciate the chairman of the AINPN for this honor. When he first called to inform me that the Association wanted to present me with this award, I couldn’t believe it. I am deeply grateful to him and all the members of the Association,” said Hon. Adefiranye.

The lawmaker went on to emphasize that his achievements over the past year and a half were not solely due to his own efforts but were a result of the collective support from his constituents, the Kabiesi (traditional rulers), and his entire team.

“This award is not just for me to relax but a reminder to continue working harder for the people I represent. I assure them that I will do even more to bring the dividends of democracy to my people,” he added.

Hon. Adefiranye also took the opportunity to appreciate his aides and colleagues in the National Assembly, noting that public service is a collective effort. He specifically thanked his Senior Legislative Aide (SLA), who leads his team, as well as all his Special Assistants (SAs) and other supporters, for their unwavering dedication.

“It’s not something I could have achieved alone. It’s a collective effort. I want to encourage my team to keep working harder, and by God’s grace, we will continue to do more,” Hon. Adefiranye said.

He concluded his speech by reiterating his commitment to serving the people of IlleOluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency and promised to keep striving for excellence in his duties as their representative in the National Assembly.
