As Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ today, popularised as Christmas, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Òndó State chapter felicitates with Nigerians on this occasion and urges everyone to celebrate with the knowledge of the true essence of this season.

While it is important to make merry and rejoice, we should not forget the mood of the moment and therefore reach out to the needy around us so that the joy of the season can saturate the length and breadth of our various localities.

Our leaders at this period must also not lose sight of the need for improvement in entrenching good governance towards addressing the needs of the citizens in terms of combating security challenges, economic downturn and other societal problems.

As Nigeria goes to poll next year, the people of this country must understand that their future is in their hands and so must not sell their votes nor compromise democratic tenets as responsible citizens. Vote according to your conscience and be patriotic in all your dealings.

Once again, please celebrate with modesty and candour.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2023 in advance.

e-signed

Lamidi Ishola, FNIPR

Chairman, NIPR, Òndó state

Sunday Omosule, ANIPR
Secretary, NIPR, Òndó state
