Appeal Court Upholds Death Sentence for Hotelier in OAU Student’s Murder

By Exponent News Akure, 23rd January,2025.

The Court of Appeal in Akure has upheld the death sentence of Dr. Ramon Adedoyin, the hotelier convicted for the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a former Master’s student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). Adedoyin was found guilty of the 2021 killing of Adegoke, whose body was discovered at Adedoyin’s Hilton Honours Hotel in Ile-Ife. The appellate court, in its ruling on January 23, 2025, confirmed the earlier judgment of the Osun State High Court, dismissing Adedoyin’s appeal. The court also quashed the order for the forfeiture of Hilton Hotel and the educational scholarship to Adegoke’s children.
