It is with great pleasure that the House of Representatives extends its heartfelt congratulations to BudgIT on the launch of the Tracka 2023/2024 Project Tracking Report. This report exemplifies a commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement—principles that are crucial to the advancement of good governance in Nigeria.

The Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, Speaker of the House of Representatives, along with the entire 10th Assembly, remains steadfast in its dedication to promoting open governance and enhancing citizen participation in legislative processes.

On behalf of the House of Representatives, I commend BudgIT and the Tracka team for their unwavering efforts in ensuring that government projects transcend budget allocations to become meaningful, tangible interventions that positively affect the lives of Nigerians.

The insights presented in this report are invaluable. By tracking over 1,400 projects across 25 states, with a total allocation of ₦282 billion, it provides a data-driven foundation to assess the efficiency of public service delivery and the impact of government projects. These statistics underscore the vital role that civic oversight plays in promoting government accountability.

In the 10th National Assembly, we recognize that effective governance is a collaborative effort. Citizens, civil society, and the private sector must all play an active role in complementing legislative oversight. Initiatives like Tracka serve as essential tools in bridging the gap between policy intent and its real-world impact.

This initiative aligns perfectly with our Open Governance objectives, as outlined in our Legislative Agenda, which prioritizes transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance. As representatives of the people, we
