Tinubu Administration Marks Key Achievements at 2025 Ministerial Press Briefing

At the first Ministerial Press Briefing of 2025, held on Tuesday, February 11, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, outlined the transformative progress of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration over the past year. This briefing, part of a series launched in 2024, highlights the administration’s ongoing efforts to communicate directly with the Nigerian people and address misinformation while showcasing its achievements.

Minister Idris underscored key advancements across several sectors, including fiscal reforms, infrastructure development, security enhancements, and targeted social interventions. The administration’s notable achievements include the successful removal of fuel subsidies, substantial foreign exchange stability, groundbreaking oil and gas reforms, and record investments in road and healthcare infrastructure.

In the realm of security, the government reported significant gains, including the neutralization of thousands of terrorists and the successful rescue of nearly 8,000 kidnap victims. Efforts to boost food security and the creation of a Ministry of Livestock Development were also emphasized as crucial for Nigeria’s agricultural future.

Idris concluded by emphasizing the administration’s commitment to ensuring peace, rebuilding prosperity, and delivering long-term benefits for Nigerians across all demographics. With a focus on fiscal health, education, and healthcare, the government’s 2025 budget is poised to further advance these transformative goals.
