SWEARING-IN PROGRAMME: SECURITY AND TRAFFIC GUIDELINES TO AID EASE OF MOVEMENT.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, psc+, mnips, has ordered the deployment of personnel and security measures emplaced in and around the venue of the swearing-in ceremony to ensure the safety of all attendees and smooth running of activities.
As part of the security measures, Escorts attached to VIPs will not be permitted to enter the venue with rifles. However, they may remain around the stadium perimeter in designated areas.
Also, Commuters who regularly use routes around the venue are advised to take alternative routes for ease of movement and reduce congestion while vehicle owners who usually park around stadium area are strongly advised to park in safer locations to avoid damage, congestion, or obstruction on the road.
All security agencies will be on ground to enforce compliance with these guidelines while we urge the good people of the state to align with these guidelines to ensure a secure and orderly event.
