Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has attributed his successful election to divine intervention, thanking God for guiding him through the challenges of his political journey. At a special Thanksgiving Service held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Jesus House in Akure, the Governor expressed his heartfelt gratitude for God’s favor and pledged to serve the state with dedication and integrity.

Speaking to the congregation on Sunday, Governor Aiyedatiwa affirmed that his emergence as the 7th elected Governor of Ondo State was not by human effort but by God’s grace. Quoting Psalm 124:1, he reflected on God’s pivotal role in his victory, saying, “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, what would our Israel be saying this day?”

Looking ahead to his official assumption of office, Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the people of Ondo State that his administration would focus on socio-economic growth through the Seven-Point Development Agenda, aimed at advancing education, healthcare, agriculture, and other key sectors. He also reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining Ondo State as one of the safest and most peaceful states in Nigeria.

Pastor Elijah Olujimi Olubade of Zone 22 delivered a powerful sermon during the service, emphasizing that victories come not through human efforts, but by God’s grace. The event was attended by key government officials, the Governor’s family, and local church leaders.
