The former Secretary to the Ondo State government-SSG ,Princess Oladunni Odu ,during this year 2025 International Women’s day celebration held in Akure,  in her interview delivered a powerful message today, calling for love, peace, and strength among women. Speaking on the importance of women pursuing their dreams fearlessly, Odu emphasized the need for resilience and courage, urging women to continue inspiring others globally.

Addressing the sensitive issue of sexual harassment, Odu expressed her firm stance, advocating for women to be assertive and confident in rejecting unwanted advances without resorting to accusations as a means to harm men. She highlighted the importance of mutual respect, urging men to respect women’s boundaries and not insist on unwanted interactions. Odu’s comments reflect a balanced approach, encouraging both genders to foster an environment of understanding and respect.

Olamide Falana Calls for Unity and Action on Women’s Day, Addresses Gender Equality and Support for Victims of Abuse.

Also speaking was the immediate past Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa on Gender Issues Chief (Mrs) Olamide Falana who called for unity and love among the women in order for them to achieve their goals in life.

In a heartfelt message shared on International Women’s Day, Olamide Falana highlighted the importance of unity and hard work in achieving gender equality. She encouraged women to continue bonding together and striving for success, acknowledging that while achieving gender equality is challenging, it is possible through mutual belief and determination.

Falana also addressed the often overlooked issue of male victims of sexual harassment and rape, urging them to speak out and seek help. She reassured victims that legal protections are in place, including the Violence Against Masculinity law, which safeguards both men and women from sexual harassment and gender-based violence. She emphasized the importance of not suffering in silence, stating, “Whoever suffers in silence dies in silence.”
