The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has hailed the recent Supreme Court ruling that affirmed his election victory, while also vowing to increase support for security agencies in a bid to address rising security challenges in the state.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the appeal by PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi, confirming that Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, were duly elected as the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Welcoming the ruling, Aiyedatiwa expressed confidence in the judiciary’s commitment to upholding justice and fairness.

“The ruling further solidifies our belief that the courts are ensuring democracy is upheld,” Aiyedatiwa stated upon his return to Akure from Abuja. “This victory is a clear confirmation that our party’s mandate is valid, and we will continue working to build a better Ondo State.”

On security matters, the Governor assured residents that his administration is prioritizing safety and stability across the state. He emphasized the government’s ongoing collaboration with security agencies such as the police and Amotekun Corps to strengthen their capacity.

“Our administration is committed to protecting lives and property. We’ve been working closely with security agencies, equipping them with resources to enhance their operations,” Aiyedatiwa said, adding that plans are in place to provide additional gadgets and support to further boost security efforts.

Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated his government’s dedication to ensuring peace in Ondo, urging all citizens to work together for a safer and more prosperous state.
