“Divine Direction Led Me to Celebrate My Birthday” — Agunbiade

By Exponent News, Akure – April 20, 2025

It was a joyful and spirit-filled celebration at the Wonderful Power of Christ Church, popularly known as “The Cathedral of God’s Praise,” located in Ijoka, Akure, as Mrs. Foluke Agunbiade marked her birthday amidst heartfelt praises and thanksgiving. The event, which coincided with Easter Sunday — a globally significant day commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ — was graced by church members, friends, and well-wishers, all gathered to rejoice with her.

The atmosphere was electric with gratitude and spiritual upliftment under the leadership of Bishop Oluwasola Joloade, the spiritual head of the church. The congregation rallied around Mrs. Agunbiade in love and support, celebrating not just her life, but the divine grace that has kept her.

Speaking during the celebration, Mrs. Agunbiade expressed deep appreciation to God for granting her another year of life. She revealed that the decision to celebrate her birthday publicly this year came through divine direction.

“This day is special to me,” she said. “Not just because it’s my birthday, but because the Holy Spirit led me to give thanks openly. Many people born on this same day are no longer alive, but by God’s infinite mercy, I am still here — and that’s worth celebrating.”

Mrs. Agunbiade, a senior tutor at one of the government-owned secondary schools in the state and a prophetic minister in the church, emphasized the importance of gratitude. She encouraged everyone to cultivate a heart of thanksgiving to God, regardless of their life situations.

“When you live a life of gratitude, God blesses you with joy, peace, and countless spiritual benefits,” she said. “No matter your circumstance, always praise God, and you will see more of His goodness.”
