Aiyedatiwa Rewards Ondo Permanent Secretaries with New Vehicles

By Exponent News, Akure — August 12, 2025

In a move aimed at boosting efficiency and morale in the state’s civil service, Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has handed over brand-new vehicles to 14 Permanent Secretaries, including four recently retired officers.

The brief ceremony, held on Monday at the Governor’s Office in Alagbaka, Akure, was described by Aiyedatiwa as “symbolic,” reflecting his administration’s commitment to equipping senior civil servants for greater productivity.

“I appointed all 14 of you, including those who have retired, and I will not deprive you of this entitlement,” the governor said. “This is to help you move around, do your job with ease, and deliver results promptly.”

Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip, commended the governor for prioritizing the welfare of civil servants, noting that such gestures keep the machinery of government running smoothly.

Speaking on behalf of the recipients, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Mrs. Foluke Tunde-Daramola, thanked the governor for his “OUR EASE” agenda, pledging loyalty and commitment to delivering on their mandates.
