The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Ondo State Directorate, has urged all eligible citizens in the state to take full advantage of the forthcoming Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), describing it as a crucial step towards strengthening democracy.
In a statement issued on Friday from his office in Akure, the State Director of NOA, Mr. James Adekunle, informed residents that INEC will commence the CVR with online pre-registration on Monday, 18th August 2025, while physical or in-person registration will begin on Monday, 25th August 2025. The exercise will hold at all State and Local Government Area INEC offices nationwide, including Ondo State.

Mr. Adekunle appealed to citizens—especially those who have just attained the voting age of 18 years—to register, update, or transfer their voter records ahead of future elections. He stated that the exercise will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on weekdays (Mondays to Fridays).
He further called on stakeholders, community leaders, political parties, youth groups, and civil society organisations in Ondo State to mobilise residents for the exercise, noting that voter registration is the first step towards having a voice in governance. “Your vote is your voice; ensure it is heard by getting registered,” he emphasised.
The NOA Director assured eligible voters of INEC’s readiness and fairness in conducting the exercise, expressing optimism that robust participation will further strengthen the nation’s democratic institutions.
