Publisher Marks Milestone with Free Medical Outreach in Akure

By Exponent News Akure 16th August,2025

Over 100 residents of Akure benefited from free eye care services and medical checkups as part of activities marking the 50th birthday of Mr. Olaseeni Oyesusi, publisher of D Chronicle Magazine, and the 12th anniversary of the news platform.

The outreach, tagged D Chronicle Media Venture 50/12 Medical Outreach, was held on Saturday, August 16, at the RCCG Holy Ghost Parish, Akure, Ondo State. Beneficiaries received free medical checkups, eye tests, essential health services, and distribution of eyeglasses.

Speaking at the event, Oyesusi explained that the initiative was aimed at supporting people battling eye-related challenges but unable to afford medical bills. He stressed the importance of regular health checks, particularly blood pressure and sugar level monitoring, noting that many sudden deaths are preventable if health conditions are properly managed.

Beneficiaries expressed joy and gratitude for the gesture. “We are very happy for the free medical checkup organized by Mr. Olaseeni Oyesusi. Almighty God will continue to bless you with long life as you celebrate your 50th birthday,” one of them said.

Those who benefitted from the outreach included Mrs. Oyelade Mosumola, Mrs. Fagbuyi Taiwo Caroline, Mrs. Adejuyigbe Bosede, Agbogun Olayemi, and Agboola Ayomiposi, among others.
