SENATE IS SUPERIOR TO REP, AND ESE-ODO CANNOT OCCUPY BOTH REP AND SENATE; A PUERILE CAMPAIGN STRATEGY TO DELUDE THE PEOPLE OF UGBO AND ESE-ODO.

SENATE IS SUPERIOR TO REP, AND ESE-ODO CANNOT OCCUPY BOTH REP AND SENATE; A PUERILE CAMPAIGN STRATEGY TO DELUDE THE PEOPLE OF UGBO AND ESE-ODO.

There’s witty aphorism which goes thus: “it is better to jostle for something within one’s reach than to embark on voyage of wild goose chase. The authenticity of this aphorism is unimpeachable but it is laughable that the opposition party is pursuing a chimeric dream to deceive the people of Ese-Odo in order for them to achieve their selfish agenda.

The people of Ese-Odo must take cognizance of the fact Ondo South Senatorial District comprises of six local governments and only Ese- Odo cannot determine the electoral fortunes of senatorial candidate of PDP even with the combined effort of Ilaje so, it is advisable and preferable for the people of Ese-Odo to rally their support behind APC Rep candidate, Hon. Donald OJOGO which is much more within their reach and more achievable than selfish arrangements of PDP having known a person from Arogbo extraction has not tasted this office since inception of democracy in 1999.

It must be noted that, the arrangements of the opposition Party to zone senatorial ticket to Eseodo and Rep ticket to Ilaje was not borne of sincerity and compliance with principle of fairness and equity but for the personal aggrandizement of some PDP stalwarts in Ilaje. If truly it was on the quest to ensure justice and fairness they ought to have allowed Tofowomo to vie for second term since they want the PDP Rep candidate to go third term.

It must be noted that Ilaje Constituency 2 has no business whatsoever with the aspiration of Rep this time around having produced Olukunle Mafo and current Rep candidate of the opposition party but they will surely come to deceive the people of Ilaje Constituency 1 that, senate has been zoned to Ese-Odo and they can’t hold the two political offices contemporaneously in order to make ilaje feel inferior and to think they are losing to Ese-Odo which is a mere campaign of deception and another subterfuge to keep ilaje backward so that NDDC contracts can continue to be taken to Akoko while our people are suffering excruciating hardship.

If PDP truly subscribe to the creed of fairness and equity they ought to have taken the Rep ticket to Ugbo while the senatorial ticket ought to have been taken to Ese-Odo, Arogbo precisely. It must be noted the current senatorial candidate of PDP is a former Rep member from Apoi axis and he was also fortunate to clinch Deputy Governorship ticket while the current Rep candidate in our Constituency has been elected for two terms.

The important questions we should ask ourselves as rational human beings and discerning minds is that: are these people thinking they have monopoly of wisdom or they are more sensible than the generalities of the people of Ilaje and Ese-Odo despite our educational attainments, the numerical strengths of political bigwigs and colossus personalities in both Ugbo and Ese-Odo?

We must not allow their campaign of sentiments and deception to be effective we must speak out through the instrumentality of of ballot papers. February must speak and our ballots must speak.
