A tragic road accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Wednesday morning along Oda Road in Akure, Ondo State, after a tipper reportedly lost control and rammed into him.

The victim, identified as a father who had just dropped his children off at school, was said to be heading home when the incident occurred. According to eyewitnesses, the tipper was speeding when it veered off course and crushed the motorcycle, killing the man instantly.

“It happened so fast. One moment he was riding past, the next, the tipper had run into him. He died right there,” The passersby , describing the scene as deeply disturbing .

The driver of the tipper fled the scene immediately after the crash. As of the time of filing this report, the security personnel have arrived the scene to  dousing the tension.The victim’s body had been evacuated, while efforts were ongoing to apprehend the fleeing driver.
