Tinubu-Ambo Support Group Rallies Grassroots in Alimosho, Inaugurates New Executives

October 18th,  2025
In a strategic push to strengthen grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Tinubu-Ambo Support Group inaugurated its Alimosho Local Government Executive Committee amidst a spirited turnout of supporters and political leaders.

The event, themed “Grassroots Mobilization and Voter Registration Sensitization,” drew over 500 members during its accreditation phase, reflecting growing support for the re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and the anticipated political return of former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

Held at a packed venue in Alimosho, the meeting kicked off with opening remarks by Hon. Bosede Ajulo, followed by prayers led by Onikeku Mojisola. A strong sense of purpose and unity pervaded the atmosphere as local leaders, traditional authorities, and party stakeholders lent their voices to the movement.

Present at the inauguration were the APC Alimosho LGA Chairman, all seven ward chairmen, former and serving councillors, leaders of community development committees (CDCs), and traditional ruler Baale of Akowonjo, who was warmly received by the crowd.

In his keynote address, the Director-General of the Tinubu-Ambo Support Group, Hon. Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, praised the large turnout and emphasized that both Tinubu and Ambode remained strong political brands with legacies that continue to resonate across Lagos and the South-West.

“We are not here for campaigns yet, but to sensitize and mobilize people for voter registration,” Dr. Bamigbade said. “Let’s encourage our youth, the newly eligible voters, and others who have lost or need to update their cards. The power lies in their PVCs.”

He added that political offices within the group would be performance-based, noting that any inactive executive member may be replaced in due time.

The Baale of Akowonjo, in his goodwill message, lauded both leaders and reiterated the community’s loyalty to their shared political vision.

“Alimosho will never forget Ambode’s impactful governance. We stand with him and our President, Asiwaju Tinubu, as they lead Nigeria and Lagos forward,” he declared.

Newly inaugurated Alimosho Coordinator, Hon. Mary Dada, expressed gratitude to the leadership and promised to uphold the group’s mandate in her acceptance speech.

“I am ready to lead this team with dedication and ensure Alimosho remains a formidable base for Tinubu and Ambode’s political future,” she affirmed.

The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by Dr. Bamigbade, marking the official commencement of the group’s activities in the local government.
