DR. ADEWINLE TO CHAIR SOUTHWEST HERALDS MAGAZINE PUBLIC LECTURE, AWARDS CEREMONY

The Southwest Heralds Magazine has announced that its annual Public Lecture and Awards Ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Akure, Ondo State.

Founded in February 2018, the magazine has continued to play a key role in enlightening and informing Nigerians on national events and developments.

According to a statement issued by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Otunba Oluwatayo Adu, this year’s event will be chaired by Dr. Jide Adewinle. The ceremony is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at the Bliss World Hotels Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure.

The public lecture will focus on the theme, “The States vs The Citizens: The Paradox of Increased Federal Allocations.”

The Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Lucky Ayedatiwa, is expected to attend as the Special Guest of Honour.

The statement also revealed that Asiwaju Asagunla Olumuyiwa, Chief Executive Officer of WASAGUN International Limited, will be honoured with the Ondo State Man of the Year Award in recognition of his contributions to human and societal development.

Other distinguished recipients to be recognized at the ceremony include Rev. Dr. (Mrs.) Damilola Oshin, Prof. Adewole Adeyeye, Dr. Joseph Obe, Hon. Mrs. Fynch Adeola Rosemary, and Mr. Olaniyi Alade, who will be awarded for their notable achievements in their respective fields.
