
OSOPADEC Reaffirms Commitment to Sustainable Development in Ondo Oil-Producing Communities

The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) has renewed its commitment to sustainable prosperity, environmental protection, and inclusive development across oil-producing communities as the year 2026 begins.
In a New Year message to stakeholders and residents of the mandate areas, the Executive Chairman of OSOPADEC, Prince Olabiyi Olaleye Poroye, said the commission remains focused on delivering development with ease and purpose, in line with its mandate and the development agenda of the state government.
Poroye noted that under the leadership of the Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, OSOPADEC is strengthening efforts to build peaceful, united, and thriving communities. He emphasized that the commission’s programmes are guided by the state’s “OUR EASE” agenda, with priority on human capital development, environmental sustainability, and equitable distribution of projects.
“As we welcome 2026, we are reminded that sustainable development is achievable when there is unity of purpose and firm commitment,” he said, assuring residents that OSOPADEC would continue to invest in people and ensure that development reaches every corner of the oil-producing areas.
The OSOPADEC chairman called for continued cooperation from stakeholders, expressing optimism that collective effort would further position the commission as a true vehicle for grassroots development.
He concluded by wishing residents a productive, rewarding, and prosperous New Year, reiterating OSOPADEC’s vision of total prosperity and environmental sustainability.
