Ondo Deploys Joint Security Team After Attack, Abduction in Ose Community

The Ondo State Government has launched a coordinated security operation following an attack on Igbosi Community in Idogun, Ose Local Government Area, which also resulted in the abduction of a nine-year-old boy.
According to the government, security agencies moved swiftly after receiving reports of the incident. Personnel of the Amotekun Corps, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the military have been deployed to the area and are currently conducting intensive search and combing operations across the community, nearby forests, and other strategic locations within and outside the affected axis.
The government assured residents that the situation is under control and is being closely monitored by relevant security authorities. It noted that additional security measures have been put in place, while intelligence-driven operations continue to track down those responsible and secure the victim’s release.
Residents of Ose Local Government Area and neighbouring communities have been urged to remain calm, vigilant, and supportive of ongoing security efforts. The government also appealed to members of the public to share credible information with security agencies through established channels to aid the operation.
Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa expressed confidence that the ongoing joint security mission would produce positive results.
The government further commended the prompt response of security agencies and cautioned against the spread of unverified information capable of creating panic, urging citizens to remain security conscious and report suspicious activities.
