OAUSTECH to Host 12th Inaugural Lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Defense
OKITIPUPA, Ondo State — The Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, will hold its 12th Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, with a focus on the evolving role of artificial intelligence and ethical hacking in strengthening cybersecurity.
The lecture, titled “The Vigilant Watchman and the Serpent’s Wisdom: Artificial Intelligence, Ethical Hacking, and the Future of Proactive Cyber Defense,” will be delivered by Professor Aderonke Justina Ikuomola, a Professor of Computer Science and Information Security in the Department of Cybersecurity, School of Computing, OAUSTECH.
The event, scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the University Auditorium, is expected to attract academics, technology professionals, students, and other stakeholders interested in emerging trends in cybersecurity and digital innovation. Guests are expected to be seated by 12:30 p.m.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Temi E. Ologunorisa, on behalf of the Senate, has extended invitations to members of the university community and the general public to attend the academic event.
The inaugural lecture will examine the intersection of artificial intelligence, ethical hacking, and proactive cyber defense strategies, highlighting their significance in addressing contemporary security challenges in an increasingly digital world.
