Breaking: Gov. Adeleke Declared Winner of the 2026 Osun Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Governor Ademola Adeleke Jackson as the winner of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.
The Returning Officer for the Commission, Prof. Joshua Olalekan Ogunmola, announced the final collation results this morning to the public.
He said, “I, Prof. Joshua Olalekan Ogunmola, the Returning Officer of the Osun State Governorship Election, 2026, hereby declare Adeleke Ademola Nurudeen Jackson of the Accord Party, having satisfied the requirements of the law, duly elected and returned as the winner.”
According to him, Governor Adeleke pulled 551,067 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Oyebamiji Bola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 444,815 votes.
Prof. Ogunmola said the number of registered voters was 2,339,544, while the number of accredited voters was 1,010,684.
The total votes scored by the political parties were as follows: A = 511,067; AA = 2,308; AAC = 1,458; ADC = 17,180; ADD = 2,946; APC = 444,815; APJA = 1,474; APN = 234; APP = 114; BP = 111; NNPP = 118; SPP = 155; YPP = 534; CLP = 2,482.
Total valid votes = 985,079.
Rejected votes = 20,721.
Total votes cast = 1,005,800.
The breakdown of the scores by each candidate and their political parties, as announced by the Returning Officer, were as follows:
