The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Dr. Ademola I. Ebeloku, has called on Muslims to uphold the virtues of peace, humility, compassion, tolerance and service to humanity as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud 2026.
Ebeloku made the call in his Eid-el-Maulud message issued on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of the institution, where he felicitated with Muslim members of the Polytechnic community and the entire Muslim Ummah on the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Rector noted that the occasion provides an opportunity for Muslims and Nigerians generally to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of the Prophet, particularly his commitment to peaceful coexistence and service to humanity.
He urged members of the Polytechnic community to demonstrate these virtues in their daily lives, stressing that character, learning and service remain central to the institution’s values.
According to him, the celebration should also be an avenue to pray for peace, unity and progress in the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
