The effect of the climate change in our Communities can not be over emphasized. The physical effect has agained surface in Ayetoro Community in Ilaje Local Government of Ondo State,Nigeia. As the entire community is now being washed away by the sea incursion.

Meanwhile, the reason for this surge was as a result of the negative effect of the oil exploitation and exploration by the multi Billions naira  oil Companies operating in the region. Their operational system has impacted  the entire Communities in Ilaje land negatively especially those Communities along the coastal region in the area.

  • According to the video obtained from the Ayetoro Community TV platform, as narrated by one Akingboye Nelson, who reported from the scene of the surge, called on the Ondo State Government, Federal Government and the entire International Communities to come to their Aid and not allow the community to go into extinction.

The incursion have destroyed  most of the Buildings and other personal belongings of the people of the community. The gravity of the surge as it is  now is still on the high side as the people of the community had been displayed off from the city as of the time of filling this report. Below is the video
