The planning committee of the Ulefunta Festival 2023 for the promotion of the Akure cultural heritage has called for the  support from the general public and all well wishers to kindly rendered a financial support toward the building of the Akure Teaching Hospital at Ilu Abo, for the  development of the people living in the Akure kingdom  and it’s environs . He said the proposed project would care for the health department of  the people living in the land
The event witnessed various age groups support who came forward to displayed their support toward the Deji of Akure by greeting the Traditional Royal Father’s present at the occasion. Age groups like Oyemekun ladies Connect, Muslim Ladies Circle of Nigeria , Olumuyiwa Adu Cubana and host of others showed their solidarity to the Deji of Akure.

Major Gen.Tukur Yusuf ( Rtd) Alhaji Buratai a former Chief of Army Staff, was honoured at this year 2023 Ulefunta Festival, in Akure as Baakore of Akure Kingdom.. He said he was very happy for honouring and recognising him . He wished the Deji of Akure a long life on throne. He supported the festival with undisclosed amount of money.

 

.He also , thanked the organiser of the event for the great job well done .
The event attracted indigenes of Akure kingdom from home and Abroad as well as other dignitaries in the society.
