Dr. Dayo Duyile who is the Chairman of this year of NIPR ,Ondo State annual general meeting and public lecture held at Ruby’s Court event centre , Oke -Ijebu , Akure.
The theme of the lecture is: The intersection of Journalism in Public Relations and Advertising and It’s Impact on the Society. He said both Journalists and Public Relations Practitioner should have a good records keeping as this is one of the things that gives credibility to the. Profession and those Practitioners.
He said Journalism and Public Relations are brothers and sisters as the two have a common attributes that make the Practitioners love it as you may have one comparative advantage to one another. He said public relations is life time practice.
He said PR is a large expand where one can specialize in one area or the other. He said PR is not a free business and therefore, it’s expedient for one to charge their customers for the good job done.
According to him, PR is an adjunct of journalism as both go in hand in hand . He advised the practitioneers to combined the two together in order to deliver good service to their audience. He said Journalism also uses the public relations to interact with her audience .


Journalism assist PR, in times of promotion, interview and what have you. He said you need journalism to navigate through your reportage . He said the PR does a lot of research that would help those that are in the practice. He said writing books is a must for the PR to do by the Practitioneers for the purpose of educating and reformed the society.
