From the ongoing summer Tenis Clinic exercise organised for the children by Ondo State Governor” wife her Excellency Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu for the purpose of developing Children talents and team spirit among them. The Special adviser to the Governor on Gender matter Mrs Olamide Falana appreciated her Excellency for
organizing this year summer Tenis Clinic for our children to displayed their natural sporting talent. According to her, the programme is meant to develop and keep the children bussy especially during this holiday season because an idle hands is a Devil’s workshop.” She also thanked the who philanthropists in the state who had contributed their own qouta in supporting the programme with finance and other materials for the success of the programme.
In another, development, Falana said that parents should trying as much as possible to encouraged their children to developed their sporting talents for the singular reason of becoming great person in the world of Sports.She said that the participants cut across all the six LGA in Akure. While appreciating all the chairman of the Local government for bringing their children to the events every day, and said that within the few years the people we soon Bagan to ripe the benefits of this initiative. When we begin to see our children representing Nigeria and Ondo State and bringing home laurels by making us proud.
Meanwhile, Mr Seun Betiku who is the programme coordinator said that about 400 children have been trained in this sporting activities. According to him ,the whole idea is to catch them young and nutured them to make them champion they are so that they can be like great man and woman in the sporting world across the globe. He said that after the training, the children would registered for Arabinrin Junior Tenis Clubs and started training on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as this was their target for the purpose of developing them for future careers.
The event featured dance, competition and children’s performance to appreciate her Excellency for putting up the initiative for them.The event was well attended by the top Government functionaries.
