A retired permanent Secretary in Ondo State, elder Olusola Adojutelegan, has canvased for the use of six sectors , particularly Agriculture to develop Ondo economy and by extension, Nigeria and Africa as a whole for the purpose of eradicating poverty in our society. Speaking with EXPONENT MAGAZINE NEWS today at the APBN Secretariat in Akure, Ondo State Capital,. Elder Adojutelegan said Agriculture is very important as it has more comparative advantages over more sectors

He opined that his organization was looking at the effects of the right education on the economy. He said when Singapore had problem of economy, he said out of sixteen cabinet they have, nine of them were economist while the tenth one read commerce and the eleventh one read business Administration , which means the country had problem of economy and according to him, the language of their discussion was purely on economy which everybody would understand. He said but in our own, when we had economy problem we went for a Major General and we have missed it and there was no way we can get out of the economic problem.

He also, look at the relevance of the legal professional body like NBA in the areas of enactment of law in the National Assembly on the needs of land acquisition for the development of the Agricultural project of the vision he was championing .

He made reference to a particular man in the state that had work on Agriculture and at the same time developed a strong relationship with the Federal government and at the same time ,he was facilitating fund for the Farmers for the development of the farming business via the Federal Government ANCOP program and the man was given N50 Billion to give to the Farmers to develop their farming business and at the end the Farmers would pay the money back .

According to the elder Adojutelegan, he said he had made a request for the visibility studies of the man proposal from the Bank of Industry of which he had collected and that he would sent it across to the Abuja by Thursday morning of this week for proper consideration from authority concern.

Elder Adojutelegan, who is the leader of a business group called TELECON WORLD ECONOMY Limited , has said their visions was to look at the whole world economy and also looking at the reasons why the was so backward in terms of economy development?.

He said ” if a state in America like California could have an economy of $ 3.55 trillion , the whole fifty four (54) countries in Africa cum content could has 1.4 Billions and we have 3.14 Billions and 39 Billion, while a state in America could have $3.55trillion then something is wrong with Africa. He said it’s in this angle he was looking at the economy of the whole Africa that something must be done in order for us to lift it up to a greater heights. According to him, he said, that is why their organization is called world economy which compared all others countries economy in the world along with our own in order to look at the areas where they have contributed and also look at what they could do to better the Africa economy , particularly the Ondo State economy at large.

Similarly, elder Adojutelegan, said he was personates with the Ondo State economy just because he had worked in all the eighteen local government in the State and that if he has done that, one thing or the other must be a concern to him.
In another development, Adojutelegan who was looking for the right group partner to help champion the visions of his organization said his efforts in order to get the right partnership was the reasons why he came to the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria–APBN as introduced to him by a friend.
He said six sectors could be used to develop our economy. The areas he mentioned were Education, Agriculture,, Manufacturing, Technology, Business and Finance and Management Services in the first level of the matter. He said all these areas must be examined thoroughly and look at the one that affected us most.

He said it’s advisable for all to start with Agriculture because we are blessed with the land as this could take us to a particular level in our economy development and he now calling on the Professional Bodies to come and join hands with them in order to bring in their level of professionalism in order to get the job done in a multiple fold.
Also, Elder Adojutelegan was of the opinion that each group of the Professional Bodies should come up with at least three person that would sit down and develop a business proposal toward that vision in order to complement the efforts he had put in already.

Responding, the Chairman of APBN, Sir David Ologun, assured the man of the support of the Association. He said that what they need from the elder Adojutelegan was to let them have the proposal paper as the association is ready to give him maximum support. He also gave him assurance that he would help the man to talk to the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria -CAN, Ondo State Chapter and that whatever group that benefited from the visions is for the benefits of all the general public.
