Ondo NDLEA Boss Bags Newspaper Publishers’ Service Award

Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers (AINP) South West Zone will be conferring Meritorious Service Award on Mr Raji Mumini Kayode, the State Commandant of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) as part of the activities celebrating the Annual Public Lecture and Award of the association.

In a Press Statement Release signed by the Zonal President of the Association, Prince Adefemi Ojopagogo, the Ondo State Commandant of NDLEA is among eminent Nigerians to be decorated with medals in this year programme slated for November 23rd, 2023.

The President said the association has been monitoring the activities of Mr Raji since his deployment to Ondo State which has no doubt distinguished him as one of the best brains to have been posted to Ondo Command.

He further said the Meritorious Service Award to be conferred on the Commandant was based on the testimonies of his fight against drug abuse and trafficking in Ondo State, saying his campaign and advocacy cut across every nook and cranny of the state.

According to the statement: ” Under your command, a lot of cannabis farms have been destroyed, evacuation of hard drugs in Red Points within the state, arrest and prosecution of Drug Lords among other achievements best position you for this honour”.

While congratulating him for the honor, the President urged him to continue with his regular public enlightenment and campaign against planting and using of hard drugs in Ondo State.

Meanwhile, the theme for his year Public Lecture is “How far has Government’s Palliative Program Cushioned Harsh Effects Of Fuel Subsidy Removal In Nigeria? to be delivered by Pastor Ola Olalere St. Rufus Alaba JP. Senior Pastor Graceland Model Parish, Akure.

The occasion is to be Chaired by a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Dr. Olumuyiwa Adu, aka Cubana.

Other programmes of the day include Launching of 25 Million naira Association Digital House, Lecture and Award presentation and the event will be held at Pharmacy House, Alagbaka, Akure by 2pm.

Special Guest of Honour is the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON while Other Special Guests includes Mrs. Bamidele Ademola- Olateju, Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Thomas Wilson Ikubese, CMD SKYE Hospital, Akure, Chief Abiodun, Odole of Akure

Other Awardees include Hon Festus Akingbaso, MHR Representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Hon Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr Tunji Rhema Moyero, Governorship Aspirant, Mrs Bridget Ajayi, CEO Bcycline Home of Herbs, Prophet Paul Oluyemi, General Overseer, Body of Christ Ministries, Prince Ijiti Samuel Aanu, CEO Ever-Shine Films and Travels Nigeria Limited among others.
