Olori Oyinkansola Adebankeba Aroloye has said that the good gesture of one of her friends in Ekiti State was one of the things that motivated her to embark on empowerment her people in Ijare, in Ifedore Local government area in Ondo State. Olori Oyinkansola, who grew up in Ekiti State, said a friend of hers embarked on the road maintainance in her locality, for the people living in the community and when she saw that good gesture carried out by her friends as narrated, she said she was moved and concluded that if God could bless her to some extent in the future, she would do something different to better the life of her people at home and today, to God be the glory her prayer was answered by God and she’s doing the empowerment today for her people.
When asked about the categories of people that benefited from the empowerment, Olori Oyinkansola said students, new graduands. She said some of these people find it difficult to buy some materials for themselves, therefore, she has to come in by way of helping some of them to afford the material. Materials distributed were mats, kitchen utensils, palliative items(Raw food items like yam, Gari, Beans) all these items were given away free of charge. She said she did that so that the people could feel her impact in the community.
Other people who benefited were the less privileged, aged people and disabled people in the society. The programme involved raffle draw and other empowerment. Oyinkansola, also advised parents to talk to their children who were capable of doing this kind of empowement to emulate her. According to her, by so doing, they could be able to eradicate poverty in the community. She advised the beneficiaries to make use of the materials for their own personal use and she wished them Merry Christmas and Happy New year in advance.

Chief Olamide Falana
The Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN CON, on Gender, Chief Olamide Falana who graced the occasion, congratulated the organiser for the empowerment especially when the programs came during the period of the Christmas, to give back to the community and less privileged in the society. Chief Olamide prayed for the organiser that God would continue to bless her family as she did this to the people.
Chief Olamide admonished the people to emulate Mrs Oyinkansola by giving back to their community. He said it was not what they have that matters, but the spirit to give out what they have to the people no matter how small it is, was what matters.
In another development, the Ijare National Union President, Comrade Olofintimilehin Felix, said what Olori Oyinkansola did was very nice, he said this was the kind of programme they have been envisaging for, because it was like a poverty alleviating programme to them. He said the gesture would help their hundred level students as regards to their academic pursuit, because out of the listed items they wanted to buy on campus, some had been taken care of by this kind of empowerment and it’s a relief to them. He said they love the programme and prayed for God to continue to bless the woman.” As it’s not that easy to do that kind of empowerment, more so during this hard time of the economy and yet she gave out more items to people out of the little she had”, The Comrade said.

      Hon. Adebusuyi Idowu, Pius

Hon. Adebusuyi Idowu Pius, a Commissioner in the State House of Assembly Service Commission, who witnessed the empowerment of Olori Oyinkansola at Ijare, in Ifedore Local government area, said what he saw on ground baffled him as he didn’t expect such and the reason he didn’t expected such was because, since the inception of the All Progressive Congress Party(APC), women have not been given any political appointments. He said for her to have come out to donate all these items like Mattresses, Mats, Clothes and other items according to him, he said it’s a welcomed development.

The Honourable congratulated Olori Oyinkansola and wished her success in her future endeavours. While appealing to every parent in the community as matter of fact, to endeavour to train their girl child by way of educating them, in order for them to attain success in life like Olori Oyinkansola. He said what we are seeing today was the consequences of the sound education that was embedded in her by her parents. Honourable Adebusuyi also used the forum to talk to other political holders that were around, to emulate the woman in order to make the whole community of Ijare happy.
